An unusually busy Sunday

This morning Lucy woke up not feeling very well, and within the first 5 minutes of being up she had vomited twice. Lucy and I stayed home from church while Hoy and Logan went, and Hoy worked in the nursery for us.

Sundays are usually quiet days at our house, a day of rest, naps, and relaxation after we get home from church. Today, however, we had a friend of mine from work (Janet) come over for lunch to celebrate her birthday. Pat on my back for working on New Year's resolution #5....celebrating birthdays! I made her a homemade birthday cake and a crock pot lunch.

Janet with the girls. Logan and Lucy were really sweet about wishing Janet happy birthday, and they sang for her. Sorry for the blurry pictures....we're not really sure what's wrong with the camera, but Hoy's working on it.

Since Lucy was sick this morning and Hoy and I both have busy days at work tomorrow, we went to get Granny to stay with us for a few days to make sure she gets better before going back to school. The girls love to have Granny in town, and especially when she stays with us.

This is an old picture from Hoy's class reunion a few years ago, but I wanted to post it because this is Kevin Williams. He is a defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings, and they beat Dallas today!! We are usually huge Cowboy fans, but not when they are playing the Vikings. Congratulations Kevin, and Hoy is already planning a trip to Maumelle to see that Super Bowl ring so good luck and bring it home!!

Glad you are blogging again...we have missed the updates! It's so nice to have family that can come to stay with your little ones! Hope she feels better soon.
