AWANA and baking

Well, in our house Sundays and Wednesdays are church days, and we rarely miss. Wednesday nights is AWANA, which is a Baptist program for children to learn and memorize God's Word in a fun and exciting way. Logan started AWANA's in August, and to say that she LOVES it would be an understatement. She loves wearing her vest and carrying her Cubbie bag. She asks every week what her memory verse is, and she is always asking who she can pray for. Lucy is not old enough to be in AWANA's yet, but she is all but counting the days until she can get her Cubbie gear too!! We are so blessed to be a part of a church that has programs like this that plants excitement for God's Word in our children's hearts.

Here are pictures of Logan and Lucy so excited to be at church. We have a great nursery area in our church, and all of the walls are painted like a forest. It is such a neat and fun place to be, and the girls love to be there!!

Here are some more pictures of walls in the nursery area.

When we got home and got the girls to bed, I made some homemade chocolate chip cookies for Hoy. He and the guys are having "poker night" tomorrow night, which is a night for them to have fun together and be away from the wives and kids for a while. We all need a break every now and then, and I hope he has a lot of fun....I love you honey!!

Here's the finished product...ENJOY!!!

I didn't realize you had a blog, we just started doing one about a year ago. But it is so sweet you made homemade cookies for Hoy's poker party. I would never think to do that for Daniel, NEVER!!!
