Calling all readers.....

I was very blessed to have been chosen by Dr. Donald Meacham as the nurse practitioner to join him or "collaborate" with him in medical practice. We make a great team, and he and his sweet wife, Ruth Ann, have been so good to my family. I could never thank them both enough for the last 8 years of a great career, and I am hoping for many more years as I continue to grow and learn as a health care provider.

On May 4, 2009 Dr. Meacham's mother, Ms. Jean Meacham, passed away, and my family had the opportunity to meet Dr. Meacham's family for the first time, including his sister-in-law, Leila Meacham. She is a very neat lady that just lights up when she meets someone new. When she shook my hand and looked into my eyes as we met, her words, the expression on her face, and the touch of her hand made me feel like her day was complete now that she had met me. Ms. Meacham has a very unique gift of radiating warmth and kindness. She is one of those people that you just do not forget.

Ms. Meacham spent her career as an English teacher, and she enjoyed writing books as a hobby. She is now 70-years old and "retired" and just this year her first book has been published. She wrote this book some 15 years ago without any intention of even attempting to publish it. However, with some encouragement from friends, she submitted it for editing and review and the rest is history. Her book titled "Roses" is now #9 on the book list this week, and is now being published in about 10 different languages and being sold all over the world. She has spent the last several weeks traveling to book signings and has the opportunity to meet many celebrities.

I am very excited for the Meacham family, and this success could not have come to a nicer woman!! Congratulations Ms. Meacham!

This is the cover of Ms. Meacham's book, and it is even prettier in person!!

Here is Ms. Meacham herself, and this is the portrait from the inside cover of her book. And just like her book cover, she is also even prettier in person!!
